how about planning something for each day at a different time, and people can just come when the can.

I agree, I'm easy! Just tell me where to be and what time, I'll be there!

I have a suggestion though, we need to make sure wherever we meet that it not only is open late enough for the Friday night, but someone needs to call and see if we can get an area reserved. It would really stink if we all meet and not have a place for everyone to be able sit down and visit together.

That's my 2 cents. :wink:

That's a good idea. When we're for sure about the location for Friday night, someone should do this (YR, you can be our hostess with the mostest).

I threw in the SATCO idea but it is kind of like a Tex Mex "self-service" place, no reservations but it is open until midnight. There is The Old Spaghetti Factory which is another block away, which does take reservations and most likely has a private room. There may be some places closer but I couldn't think of any that weren't bar-type places.

It's not long distance for me to call Nashville from Clarksville. Just give me the names of the places you want me to check out and I'll be glad to help out and play "secretary". (Actually, I use to do this for a living.) I will find out if we can reserve an area and how late the places are open. I will need to have an average of about how many will attend.

What about any of the eating places at the larger hotels (like Hilton, etc.)? I know some of these might stay open late.

Just let me know.

I forgot to add...I can call a few places and check on what is available for spaces and times. That may help "weed-out" what we want and don't want.

I'd really like to see a MAIN J2 gathering on Friday night for those who are driving in from having to work in the SE US. Maybe Saturday if that's better, but you know how the weekend gets busy - even though most of our "busy" is getting back with J2 folks - gathering in small groups a second time here and there. :wink:

I have already contacted about 16 restaurants. I have a couple to still call and I will then post my results, hopefully tomorrow.

YR, I nominate you as our Hostess Coordinator, so be ready to make some executive decisions and I will start making those reservations. Team work!!! This is fun!

OK! Now that it is settled, if I understand this correctly, it goes like this. :?:

We all meet somewhere at sometime for something to eat or just to chew the fat, and decide when and where we will all possibly meet again. #-o

Unless it occurs sooner in which case we all must be able to be extremely flexible in our fixed schedules. :wink:

Is that about right? :roll:
