Exactly what would the "Like option" mean? Would it mean that you liked the post? Or would it be more of a "give an example of something similar?"

It would work in the same way as it does on facebook.
Example:
I just read your most recent post on the modesty issue and I agreed with your position. In the right hand corner of your post anyone could click "Like" and it would register the number of people that agreed with you.
So for someone like me he doesn't have a lot of time to respond, I can show my approval for a particular post by clicking the "Like" button. Instead of me wasting an entire post box by saying, "I agree with TW."
