Again, you have amazing perception! Bravo. Question: Is your suggestion to somehow build a better one with better rules or is this entire model wrong and exposed?

If you wish to stimulate your mind, your Sure out of luck. You'll not be Biblically educated by sermons which tell you over and over and over about what you NEED TO DO, and rarely ever about God and what he has done

Again seriously moving deeper than your thread title.. you seem to be extremely keen on describing specific failings of your local system. This model that you outline extremely well and humorously isn't what is going on everywhere. Surely you know that?

Simply put... I don't go to Burger King to get a Medium well Steak with trimmings. I don't return to Burger King repeatedly and complain about the lack of Steak choices or the lack of trimmings. Nor will I complain to the corporate office about the lack of Steak, Potatoes and Table Service. Does this make sense at all? The fast food you were once served no longer satisfies you. You are being invited to the full relationship meal - not fast window service.

It's all being revealed for a purpose -

I'm curious on what you personally are seeking.

Is it approval release to disconnect and venture deeper into Truth ( if so you've got mine )... or mere condemnation of any existing system I ( which I fully agree serves no purpose ). Sometimes people will not be your friend unless you will adopt and share the same offenses as they do.


Seriously, don't let your limited "critical revelation" and apparent growing disgust cloud what Jesus revealed.. some of these people JUST DON'T KNOW.

On feeling good ( with TRUTH not as you describe above )... The "Gospel" etymologically means "GOOD NEWS". We have extremely GOOD NEWS to tell people. It's liberating and will set you free, if you actually understand it.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

I believe there is room in our praise & worship for various songs such as those that serve as a testimony, those that praise the Lord directly, etc.

I do not like those that take God or Jesus out and replace it with "you" because in my spirit that is an out to worship someone else.


I can say that we have a very balanced church where we always have a mix of songs and we always have the Word of God taught or preached to us no matter what happens during praise & worship. Our pastor knows that the Word gives LIFE.
