How funny! In the Masters Program I am in now there is a specific section of course work called "Webliography" in which we are required to cite web URL's that have pertinent and relevant information.
that's a bit out of context. I wouldn't allow a citation from a website in and of itself. there had to be more substantiated source material. :)

Once a week? You all meet here several times a day "in recovery."

Seems to me that pooh-poohing Google as a tool is like criticizing a plumber for using a tool box instead of a tool belt. None of us know all we need to know, or what is good for us to know and what's good to reject, merely and completely from our own selves. To learn is, by definition, to get information from beyond our own selves and to apply it or put it to use, or at least to understand how it can be used. A root word for learn is "leis", from which we also get the word "lesson". (And, yup, I got that from dictionary.com) I've never gotten a lesson that I didn't learn; I've had many lectures and demonstrations, though, that I could've learned lessons from if I'd been a better student of things and people.

I also learned from dictionary.com that the Swedish word for lesson is, get this, "bibeltext". Not really on point, but I thought that was interesting.

Anyway, Google is a valuable index of information to be learned, judged and applied or rejected, here or in any other forum.
