He has the number 1 best selling book of the week. How can we criticize his fake self and his surgically enhanced Stepford wife?

To my understanding, he does not use his television ministry to ask for donations.

Visit the website this guy has up, www.atlah.org and look at the updated report on false prophets. Osteen is there, along with everybody else. I think I even saw my fourth grade teacher's face in there somewhere.

Take a look also at the list of churches he calls false. It seems like he could have saved a lot of time and space if he'd just listed the ones he thinks are true.

I have to say that if I were asked about most of the preachers and prophets he names as false, I would have agreed with him. Id have applauded his exposure of most of them and the preaching I heard on the YouTube clip, and begged for more.

But now, I'm conflicted. As much as I might agree about what some of those men are doing, I am trying to find a way to grow out of an automatic response of seeing and condemning the shortcomings of others. I want to see the way Jesus does, recognizing limitations and shortcomings and loving anyway.

Maybe God has told that guy to say the things he does. I don't know if He did or didn't. But Jesus said if He were lifted up, He would draw all men to Himself. I know that He was specifically talking about His Crucifixion when He said that, but I think He meant more that that besides. Men will always fail. They will be corrupted and drawn into all manner of sins, regardless of how pure thir motives seem when the start out. Jesus is the only One who will never fall into sin, and never fail to forgive sin when asked.

As far as I am concerned, there are enough people who condemn the wrong instead of liting up what's right and good, which is what we are called to do. I want to stop being one of them.

I want to propose a rule for posting on Jude 2. It is: No one should be allowed to speak derogatorily about anyone untill they have spent at least 5 hours in honestly agonized & heartfelt intercessory prayer for them.

Who's willing to put some prayer where their mouth is?
Why is it that bad decisions seem to make to most interesting testimonies?

I would be willing to do that... I think it is a great idea. I don't know if I can commit 5 hours though, maybe 1 is more realistic for me. :)
..I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ took hold of me.

You don't have to do it all at once. It would probably be better if it took more than once on your knees to get it done.

With all that, even I would have to improve.

DaJudge,
You may want to invest in a pair of these, I have a feeling you'll be needing them.
