camp memories...lets see...which camp?

trying to go to TN camp at 5 (two weeks shy of my 6th bday) and they wouldn't allow me to go with my friends? so I went to AL camp...which lead to me going to AL camp for 10+ years...

Had some fun times at Camp Boothe...like my second year being a cabin leader and umm...we well...we slept in past morning devotions...we had to clean the campground for that one...kitchen raids...mud sliding after JUST taking a shower...and my personal favorite...asking God into my heart bc a person dressed up as satan scared the poo out of me...(I was sitting on the very back row that first year I went...I moved up a bit after that)...

There was MS camp one year...

LA camp (best food) with Dad gaining a kid...which made for interesting story later of why this little boy came running up to Dad at the state convention saying "DADDY DADDY!!!"

NC camp...

OK camp...now this one makes me laugh...several stories with it...
1) drove 14 hours to get to OK in a van that the AIR WAS OUT ON!!!
2) the temperature was a miserable 105 the first 3 days of camp...
3) Jeremi prayed for God to turn the AC on...He heard the prayer...the next day it was 58...
4) the Mercy Seat running around the pavilion...(it was a drama to Karen Wheaton's song Mercy Seat and the guy playing Jesus...went running off stage...around the pavilion...it was great)
5) trying to figure out what hand signal to go to bridge...
6) volleyball...

TN camp...Angels in the trees...not ghost stories...demon stories...sitting at the creek breaking up (sorry random)...building a dam...weither it be to "baptize" them in the name of the father son and keith street or to build it to truely baptize the kids bc of umm...technical difficulties with the pool...sitting out till 5:30 am to watch the sunrise with friends...mop bucket races...

Now days...I live for TN Senior Camp...it's the one week a year I can feel my heartbeat...I love camp...a strong supporter of Youth Camps...and the person who says they are a waste of time and money...come talk to me... :D
Love: when a small hand grabs your own, looks up at you and says "SAVE ME FROM THE MONSTER!", you pick them up (along with 2 dolls and a small panda) and they lay their head on your shoulder, then say, "I love you". All because you "saved" them.

Growing up in a Baptist church, my early camping memories were from a place called Dunes Bible Camp

It is located right off the Dunes on the Pacific Ocean. I remember one time a dead whale washed up on shore and there were people climbed on top and were jumping up and down on it.

It wasnt until I was in my late teens that we started attending cogop and boy just like church services, the camping experience was a whole new world also.

I have great memories at both places.
Let the wild rumpus start!
