that some definite changes will take place....

HOWEVER, the former Tomlinson College campus would be a beautiful place for a headquarters relocation.

As far as opening another "church college"....I think it is a PROFOUNDLY bad idea...

Tomlinson College, sadly enough, was closed in 1992...and a reopening would be a slap in the face to Dr Paul Conn, and the wonderful people at Lee University who have been so kind to the Church of God of Prophecy constituents since the closing of TC...

I don't see how Lee has been any kinder to the cogop than they are to anyone else. They don't offer any special benefits or any extra financial aid. When I applied it was going to cost me the same as anyone else and they were much more expensive than other Christian Colleges. I actually chose a Presbyterian College and a Baptist Seminary due to the amount of assistance that was available to students. However, I would agree that there are better investments of time and finances than having our own school. But that is based on financial sense and not loyalty to another specific school. I have nothing against Lee or the COG seminary...but they will accept anyone who will pay tuition. I remember having a conversation with a COGTS rep before it was PTS and he was telling me how they had a goal of becoming the cogop seminary of choice. That was not out of loyalty to common doctrine. It's dollars and cents...plain and simple.

Right now Lee is working with TC to make some offerings in education, I think the cooperative effort it good, and I don't know if it will exactly bring about reopening TC in Cleveland, moving out of Cleveland at this point would end those efforts, and probably be more of a slap in the fact to those at Lee who are helping with this effort.

TC being an online branch of Lee geared toward ministry certifications and the CoGoP seems to be opening up some opportunity, Lee is cooperating, and I'm sure it's providing them a source of students who want to continue study beyond the scope of it's current programs, so it's mutually beneficial.

For that reason I don't see TC moving out of Cleveland, and honestly the report pointed out the obvious benefit of using the property we own, especially if they are serious about continuing and expanding TC.
