The only one I wouldn't vote for is Tim Coalter; not because he wouldn't be a great leader, but because he's a pastor and we need quality men leading local churches. Unless the Lord requires it, I hope he never is "promoted" out of pastoring (the same with all the other good pastors we have).

Since we're within the week of this happening, I thought I might bring this back up again. Please be in prayer for our leaders through this week and weekend, especially.

I selected none of the above because of personal reasons that I will not disclose. My first choice would be Adrian Varlack, and second would be Sam Clements. I am very close to AV and have had him in my home and my wife and I have been in their home, as well as have AV for many meetings in churches I have pastored and in districts where I have served as the DO. He is not only a good Christian, he is very well established in the Word. I cannot tell you the times that I have woke up and heard him spending the night in prayer, alone with God.

I have also found Brother Clements to be forthright and honest. I have not known him as long as AV, but I have found him to honest with me.

I only regret that they have both withdrawn their names for consideration. My hope is that God will lead the presbytery and that they will listen and then the church will also listen to the Spirit as we meet.

I agree with you PastorP. Bro. Varlack would make a great GO.

This makes me respect them more. It's good to know that we have men who know where they are most needed within the organization.

While AV may have withdrawn his name from consideration, I believe that if there was a mandate from God in the GA, he would bow to God's will. That is the humility needed in the office.

AV is one of the greatest of the humble. And he doesn't even know it! That's what keeps him humble. I know him well.

However, PG is the only man whose name is still there that can deal with the issues now facing you. Let him deal with D&R and the other issues that are devisive and protect BW and others from the hatred that will certainly come to the one who deals with it.

Maybe their time will come, but don't use them up in this time of crisis. Not saying I wish anything bad for Perry, it's just that he will not be affected as badly as the others. Still a lot of work to be done in leadership before there can be progress.

Humility like silence, when you speak of it, it disappears! I agree AV is a true "servant!"
