Stupid? You betcha. Offensive? It's too stupid to be offensive. Something has to have a certain, I don't know, legitimacy or validity to it, to be really offensive, something to really offer itself as a weight or burden that causes me to steer off course. This is just...kinda on the dumb side to me. Over silly.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).

But that's just it... there is a new-ish generation of people that actually communicate this way, and it is part of their every day being. It IS legitimate to them. that's part of the issue here. they really do understand God as "the invisible man", and further they really do spell and talk like this in real life. coming from being online a lot/too much?

It is interesting how others view this kind of thing.

This is from people that are either too stupid, or too lazy, to learn the English language and use it properly. Slang is one thing, creating an entire language because you never learned to spell is another. I have no use for da boyz in da hood!

While I understand the sentiment, I disagree. I know some folk that are very educated and still communicate like this on forums and on teh internet. laziness, maybe, but not because they don't know better, or are too stupid.
