Week 13 Thoughts and BCS Perdictions

Postby KBevangelist » November 25th, 2007, 4:17 am

All right guys and gals, here we go.

First - Ga beat GaTech - another year to rub it in to the my nerd friends from Tech - GOD IS GOOD

Second - TN is overated and LUCKY - They beat us fair and square in their house but they have been lucky these last few games. But that happens to all teams from time to time. Kentucky missed opportunties and played way to conservative. That was a bad game to lose on your home field. Congrats to the mangy mutts from TN

Third - LSU got bumped by HOGWILD'S Hog. I figured this was coming. LSU you has been lucky several times this year as well. Oh well, Les Miles has probably already got the Uhual backed up to his house.

Fourth - I did stay up and watch Hawaii. PG was there and thanks for the Youtube. Hawaii, if they get in to a BCS will be playing so much stronger and faster competiton. We will see how they hold up

Fifth - Mizz and Kansas - Kansas played a heck of a game to come back the way they did and I hated the safety at the end. They flat broke down their. Mizz seems to be headed to at least the number 2 position in BCS.

Sixth - WVa and Conn - Was their ever any doubt - Wva should be number one now - But the Backyard Brawl is next week and the upset bug has been around all year

Perdictions:

Oklahoma will get the BCS birth from Big 12 (They will manhandle Mizz)
LSU has revival and kills phat Phil's team (Headed to the Sugar)
Ga will play in the Fiesta bowl against Okla
Rose will Ohio State and a PAC-10.
Orange - VaTech - and Hawaii

Who knows as crazy as this season has been

Very interesting week, again:

Could not believe the Hogs beat the Tigers at home. Les Myles is looking North to the Big House, but the truth of the matter is that LSU has been living on the edge all season. How many 4th downs did they make against Florida? Sooner or later you luck has got to run out. LSU's did on Friday.

A&M beat the horns and Fran steps down. Good move Fran, wonder if you stepped down by sending an email?

Nebraska gives up 65 to Colorado. Didn't take Tom long to get rid of Bill.

Hawaii beats the best team they have faced all year and will finish undefeated, but I don't think they will pull a Boise in the Bowl game.

Saturday, I was at the UK-UT game, and Joker Phillips UK's OC is named correctly, Joker! That's what UK's offense has been since the LSU game, a Joke!!! It maybe another 24 years before UK has a legit shot at beating UT.

WVU made a huge statement to the voters and sent it first class, postmarked UCONN.

Missouri - beat a good KU team, better than I thought they were, but can the get up again for the Big XII championship game?

Florida crushes FSU, how much longer is Bowden going to coach?

Clemson kicks it to USC. Tommy gets some revenge for his dad.

Now next week.

All the talk about the conference championship games, don't forget it's ARMY-NAVY. Navy will win this game and let's give it up for our service men and women who are protecting our freedom to come to JUDE2 and debate this stuff.

ACC Championship Game - Va Tech and BC with Va Tech coming out on top this time.

Big XII rematch #2 OK-MIZZU I believe OK will win again, don't think Mizzu can play at that high of a level two weeks in a row.

SEC - LSU-UT LSU is just to much for UT in my opinion.

BCS Match-ups

In the Orange Bowl - Va. Tech-Kansas

Fiesta Bowl - Oklahoma-Arizona St.

Rose Bowl - USC - Illinois

Sugar Bowl - LSU - Hawaii

And the NC game will be WVU-OhioSt.
If I were to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for business. I do the very best I know how, the very best I can, and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right will make no difference." -Abraham Lincoln

I didn't get to watch the game, I had to listen to it on the radio. I did enjoy hearing Munson make a comment about how it wasn't intentional interference and he didn't believe that Tech deserved a penalty right before UGA took the lead before half time.

Just wondering how many GA fans have ever read anything about "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate".

Basically around 1891 the UGA colors were old gold, black, and crimson and the UGA coach made a comment about old gold being to close to yellow which was the color of cowardice. That same year Tech's colors were chose as old gold and white by a student vote. UGA removed old gold as a color after playing Tech in 1893, Tech first used old gold on their uniforms in their first game against Auburn which was a slap in the face to UGA.

During WWI UGA had to suspend it's football program (as did many other colleges) due to a lack of able bodied male students. Tech did not have this problem since it was a "military training ground" and they continued to play football. In 1919 when continuing it's football program UGA staged a parade to mock Tech as unpatriotic for continuing it's football program (which is more than likely what the students wan_ted and the school complied). So we can see those dirty dawgs are just jealous.

BTW it was a really good game, I just have to see how worked up in can get those UGA fans, I almost went through Athens last week whistling
"I'm a Ramblin' Wreck for Georgia Tech"
