Pittsburgh? Are they serious? If I were a teenager, I'd be all over that.

and so much closer to Cleveland......

Being in Florida I would rather it be closer to me too but it is a "National" conference.
What we need here is a good revival! lol

Agreed Scooter. We are heading back to the days where it is one conference a year (not the regional ones).

I got blasted on here for saying it before, but will mention it again. My favorite YC growing up was Dallas. To me it's not where it is, it was the road trip getting there. That made it worth it and is the strongest memories.

As I have found with my students, if the leader gets excited about something rather than pointing out perceived negatives, the students usually will mimic their attitude.

We have been talking this up for a year now with our kids and we have several that originally didn't want to go. Now they are looking forward to it.

Who are the speakers and musical artists? No specifics were listed on the site, but it's only 3 months away. Surely they have scheduled people, right?

Pittsburgh is probably centrally located, but I can't say that winter is the best time to go there. Maybe they got too good of a rate at the hotel.

Gatlinburg, TN was the best youth conference ever, IMHO. There was just tons to do there.

There are other centrally located venues that aren't in the rust belt, smart tail.

My group was looking at it like a road trip and was planning out an agenda to and from. The "City" it is held in really just needs good conference facilities. IMO

Pittsburgh is a great city. I loved driving through that tunnel and being greeted by the skyline view. That was pretty cool.

Yeah, it's almost as picturesque as Detroit and Newark.

Alright, DaJudge, will it make you happy if they contract for some people to come in and sell airbrushed T-shirts, tacky doo-dads and fudge? :D
