Alright MrDanger, we have showdown ....

Saturday at 3:30 in Athens.

GA must win.

Fulmer must win to keep his job.

None the less, may the best DAWG win.

TN has no chance. Phat Phil will be at the head of the unemployment line at the end of the season...just ahead of Lil' Tommy Bowden. I hope everybody in orange is saving some money in this tough economy. Their schools are going to be calling for donations to pay off contracts and ante up for the new guys coming in.

Where is the NCSU guy when I need him? I haven't heard a peep out of him or any Wolfpuppies this year. Do they still field a team or did they give up to focus on some other sport?

Match the coach with the job for next season:

Tuberville

Muschamp

Kiffin

Fulmer

Patrick Nix

Butch Davis

Petrino

Miss. St.

Auburn

Tennessee

Arkansas

I would be shocked of Muscamp went to TN. That's to close to his beloved Dawgs

Here are possibilities, in my opinion:

1. Auburn gets Muschamp. Muschamp was DC there, it has the money to hire him, it has the facilities and fan base. Top tier program. Downside: It's Auburn. The administration is a joke, and I don't know why anyone would want to work for them, including Tuberville. Muschamp may be good, but when it comes to recruiting in state, Saban will hand his hat to him as he's already doing to Tuberville. Odds of Muschamp at AU: Even.

2. Tennessee get Kiffin. I just like this matchup, prediction wise. I don't like it Bama-UT wise. Kiffin is smart, a good recruiter, and is young. He's got all the ingredients. UT has all the resources and big stage a big name like him could want. Kiffin could be the next big thing in the SEC East. Personally, I think Florida's star fades big time when Tebow is gone. "Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight!" UT gets Kiffin, they're back to where they were 10 years ago within 3 years. Odds: I'd put it at 7-2.

3. Tennessee gets Muschamp. All the upsides of Auburn, plus all of the additional upsides of UT. More money, bigger stage. I don't think UT does as well with him, in the long run. UT needs, just by how it recruits and the kind of team it's had in the Peyton/post-Peyton era, an offensive professor. Muschamp would have to hire that guy. I just don't like the matchup as well. Odds: 12-1.

4. Auburn gets Kiffin: I don't think Kiffin would take the job. I just don't. Odds: 20-1.

5. Tennessee gets Butch Davis: Man, I hate the thought of this one, too. Guy is a coach and a half. I just don't know if UT would want him. I think they'd look for someone with a little less mileage. Odds: 5 to 1.

6. Auburn gets Davis: He'd jump at the chance. Odds: 4 to 1.

7. Semi-Long shot: Petrino bolts Arkansas, goes to Auburn. We all know the history, here. Too many tangled webs. But, if offered, he'd go in a heartbeat. Odds: 8-1.

8. Miss. State gets Davis, Kiffin or Muschamp: No to Kiffin, maybe to Muschamp, a little more maybe to Davis. I think they might go after a Patrick Nix, though, and they'd get him. Right now, State has the longest road ahead, and they're in danger of being relegated long-term without a really good hire. But, it'll have to be a young, upstart guy. No odds.

9. Gus Malzahn to Miss. State: Now, I like this possibility. I think he could really bring some excitement, some good recruits, and a lot more positive focus on State. No odds, I just like the matchup.

10. Tuberville goes to Clemson. Very possible. Odds: 8-1. He'd do well there, and they'd treat him like a rock star.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised by how close the score was. Georgia is an incredible team and we're not that good.

Dolfan- The sports talk guys from Knoxville say that Fulmer is safe. However, he has been given a mandate that if they cannot get the ship righted by the end of the season, all of the assistants will be gone. If he doesn't get rid of them, then he will be gone. And Kiffin is the top name being mentioned by all the sports guys in Nashville for over a month now.

Not if Clemson hires him first! Personally, I think Dabo has a good shot to make this season for Clemson and nail down that job. I like that he'll get that chance. I think Muschamp would also be a good possibility for them. Or, Tommy Tuberville.

Here in Nashville, the buzz is Bobby Johnson from Vandy. He is a former Clemson player and assistant coach. And a miracle worker with what he has done at Vandy.

That'd be a good opportunity for him. BUT, I'll still hope Dabo pulls it out as a Bama alum.
