Alabama Funny for Dolfan

Postby pastorables » January 12th, 2010, 2:34 pm

I found this on a message board that I frequent. Too funny.

So I was in court this morning, the judge had full docket - almost all domestic cases (I was there on the only probate case). The courtroom was full. One person in particular stood out - he was in handcuffs and was wearing a yellow jumpsuit from the county jail, visible tatoos running the length of his arms. He stood about 5'5" tall and weighed about 150 lbs. He was there as a defendant on a no-contact order. His wife explained to the judge that she didn't think continuing the order would be necessary because he was obviously in jail therefore it would be impossible to contact her. The jailbird husband echoed her comments and told the judge that he was about to be transferred to the state penn where he would be serving 3 years for domestic battery, etc. He then asked the judge if he could get visitation rights to his 3 kids (all under the age of 5). The judge told him that when his wife filed for divorce, they would decide that issue at that point, but that it still might not be in the best interest of the kids to go to the penn to see the daddy. When the jailbird heard this news he started crying in open court while looking at his wife as if she could do something. The judge then ruled that the no-contact order would stand, regardless of whether he was in the penn, and told the bailiff to take him away. The bailiff began escorting the man out of the courtroom, but right before he reached the door, the man stopped and yelled, "ROLL TIDE"!! This guy was in court on domestic battery, being told his wife was divorcing him, and that he wasn't going to get to see his kids while he was in the penn - and his last words to the free world were "roll tide"!
