49'er and former Bama RB Glen Coffee leaves football for God

Attributing his decision to God's will for him, Glen Coffee, the backup to Frank Gore in SF, says he's coming back to Tuscaloosa to finish school and go to graduate school and just to wait and see what God wants, but he says that God does not want him in the NFL and that it was a mistake for him to ever go in the first place.

Coffee was not a starter and probably wasn't going to be. This is a kid who may owe the 49'ers north of $600,000 in signing bonus money if they decide to press that issue. He says there's no personal issue, just that he determined that it is not God's will for him to play football.

If this is a move of faith, it's pretty bold. I think the lady in Denver that Scooter quoted in describing Tim Tebow's "out there faith" might find there's more where that comes from.
