to keep things short, the cancer has moved to Dad's lungs, and he just is not up for further treatments. They give him about 6 months. We told the kids Sunday morning at church (Mom had put in a prayer request about it, so the entire church knew, but we hadn't said anything to the kids yet, just because they had had a busy weekend with friends, and we hadn't had a private moment to talk to them). God worked it out so that none of the kids were in the sanctuary at the time Mom mentioned it, but we felt we better go ahead and tell them rather than them overhearing it as people were coming to to talk to them at the end of the service.

God is blessing, we are in a very loving church, and they loved us well and I know will help us through this. God isn't done yet, and I've got two unsaved brothers that Dad is really reaching out to and wants to have a peace about them before His time comes.

I appreciate everyone's prayers, God has a plan, we just don't understand it all yet, we just have to trust.

Praying for you all. My Dad passed away 2 and half years ago from lung cancer. They gave him only 6 months when the cancer moved to his lungs but he lived 2 years longer without any treatment.
