A Fishing Poll

Postby Poimen » September 11th, 2004, 4:14 pm

This is a poll I recently gave at the Orlando airport in between plane changes. It was fun and solicited a variety of responses.

There will be a time later for replies.

Consider this in a "spiritual" sense:

A fisherman is by definition one who fishes.

Matthew 4:19
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Interesting results. Not sure what implication I may have given with the wording of the last option. Can't wait to see what you guys are/were thinking.

Replies welcomed now.

I already was.

I voted he wasn't a fisherman.

Sure, but only when his line is in the water....
Why is it that bad decisions seem to make to most interesting testimonies?

the original question was too vague (I was already thinking about it in the spiritual sense) - there was no mention as to if the "fisherman" has ever fished in teh past, only that he "he never actually fishes". so, based on experience with many fishermen that don't currently fish, yet have all the gear, garb etc, I think they are fishermen. They wouldn't be if they never have fished and never will.

One of my pet peves, is people that bring people to church to "get saved" (becuase they won't lead them to Christ, themselves, or don't think it can be done outside the church). I am not saying that there is no place for this, but sheep beget sheep, shepherds don't beget sheep. that's just weird. Mary had a little lamb and the doctor was surprised. hehhhehheee
