If we are judging someone by pointing out their false teachings, what do we do with the following scriptures?
Titus 1:10-11
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
I don't know whether or not Benny Hinn is called of God. I won't and can't judge his heart. I can judge for myself as to whether or not his words are indeed the words of God. I personally think he is very shallow biblically.
All I know is that Judas' selling out of Jesus Christ for 30 pieces of silver is not so shocking when compared to todays so called disciples of Christ. What is the difference between Judas and the many preachers today who say they are disciples but sell the gospel?
When we warn people to have nothing to do with them, is that judging them?
Jessica, some might not think so, but I agree with you completely. I have no problem when someone points out false doctrine, errors, God knows I grew up with a great deal of erroneous teachings as did many.
What I do have a great deal of problem with the way things are said. " I'd give him a Holy Ghost shove off a fifty story high building, I hope these guys burn in hell, they would be better off dead, they are devils. And if I went back through the threads I sure there are many more descriptive adjatives that have been used.
Judge a mans' doctrine and beliefs, judge a mans actions, judge a mans motives, cry out the wrongs let it be made known from the roof tops or through the forums, but let God judge the man.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.
