CCMN / College and Career Ministries Network

Postby kirk » October 18th, 2006, 8:30 am

What is UP!!!!,

This is Kirk Rising, State Youth Director of NC. I am letting you know about CONNENT '07. A week-end for college and career students and young adults. So far NC, SC, GA, VA, KY and TN are involved. We are joining together as a force for the Kingdom of God! The poster for the event and more information are at http://www.ccmnetwork.org. The website is expanding month by month.

Right now we have college youth, and career young adults from 7 states and 3 countries as members in this ministry. You can see the info at http://www.ccmnetwork.org.

We are connecting college and career young adults all over the country. The intentions for our college youth focus, is to find where they are going to school, connect them with the ministry (CCMN), then connect them with a vibrant youth pastor or vibrant church in that area. This will connect them with a "surrogate" youth group or local church which keeps them connected back to their local bodies. We are also looking into establishing CCMN clubs on their campus. Our career focus is to establish these young adults with their local churches and encourage them to become a part of ministry and leadership. To make them "active"members and solidify their commitment to their local church.

We have started the ball rolling. The young adults are connecting themselves. They have a desire to expand their horizons and they are looking for opportunities to minister. We are trying to make that happen. CONNECT '07 will continue to expand CCMN in new territories. Your college and career young adults can go to the website, http://www.ccmnetwork.org and download the poster and registration form, or register online. Palma Hutchinson, our General Youth Director is on board and supporting our week-end.

I hope this ministry will be of benefit in your state. The college and career youth are really taking off with this concept. It is amazing what God is doing. Thanks for your time.

Making Heaven My Home,
Kirk

Giving this a boost. It could be an alternative conference since the YC has been canceled. It is in January in Gatlinburg, TN.

Our youth was disappointed in the conference being cancelled. Although, I don't know if we would have gone with it in PA anyway, but..........

Maybe I will look into this one.
