Picks for this weekend of the playoffs?

Postby MrDanger » January 12th, 2007, 9:46 am

Me, I am choosing:

Ravens over the Colts - I could see this one going either way, but want McNair and the ex-Titans to finally get that ring they deserve.

Saints over the Eagles - Going purely on reputation for this season. I haven't seen one single Saints game yet. However, the Eagles have under-performed a lot this season.

Seahawks over the Bears - The Bears are in trouble with a quarterback that isn't consistent and they can't trust any more after he admitted he didn't try that hard and didn't prepare in their last game of the season.

Patriots over the Chargers - I desperately want the Chargers to win, but the Patriots always seem to find a way to get it done.

I probably won't be back on Jude 2 till Tuesday. I am prepared to come on here and be 0 for 4 and eat some crow.

These are my picks.

Colts beat the Ravens - I could see this one going either way too, but Manning is hungry for a win and the defense is stepping up.(or we'll see if it continues) The last game brought some intensity into their playing.

Saints beat the Eagles - Peyton, Drew Brees, Duece, Bush, and company are on a roll. They want it. They believe in it. They believe in their coaches.

Bears beat the Seahawks - I just don't think the Bears are going to lose this game. I have a feeling Rex is going to play average to good and the defense is going to take care of a mediocre team that has no fire or flare.

Chargers beat the Patriots - I just dislike NE. I really hope they lose. I just don't see the Chargers backing down with Merriman, LT, and the defense; it's just not going to happen.

Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Ravens win over the Colts - I think the Ravens defense shuts down the Colts and Manning. Steve McNair carves up the Colts' D.

The Saints march on - Saints playing at home and too much offensive power to over power the Eagles.

My beloved Bears win - I think the good Rex will show up and have an average game. No turnovers and the Bears defense steps back up and plays well.

Chargers beat the Patriots - LT has a huge game. Brady tries to win it late for the Patriots, but comes up short.

Ravens beat the Colts - for no other reason than I am not a Manning fan.

Saints beat the Eagles - Reggie Bush. Nuff said.

Seahawks beat the Bears - Hey, I am a homer. Our Defense can play. We actually held up pretty good against the Chargers when we played them. Our offense seems to be the question mark. Last second, game winning F.G by Josh Brown to win.

Chargers beat the Patriots - I'v always liked S.D since the Kellen Winslow days.

Here's my picks:

Ravens over Colts - I think the Raven D will be the difference. Ravens will score enough points to win. 17-7. However, I will be pulling for the Colts. I dislike Ray Lewis a thug from Miami.

Saints over the Eagles - Drew Brees has to many weapons. Garcia will make to many mistakes. 34-20.

Bears over the Seahawks - Bear D is to much for Seahawks, and I know all that has been said about Grossman, but if there is a QB that could have a break-out playoff season like Rothelisberger did last year, it is Grossman. 28-13

Chargers over Patriots - Rivers has LT to hand the ball to, and Chargers D will keep pressure on Brady to end their run this year.
27-17

Ravens 24, Colts 21, OT - Peyton's 300 yds, 2 TD won't do the job

Saints 28, Eagles 17 - Brees is unstoppable at home

Seahawks 24, Bears 22 - Can anyone say "Josh Brown"?

Chargers 30, Pats 20 - Pats can't stop LT...then again, can anyone

Peyton sure didn't throw 300 yds and 2 TDs either.

I am surprised as all heck that the Ravens only scored 6 points, and on top of that the Colts didn't even have to score a touchdown to beat them. Vinatieri is the man. Maybe this could be the year that Peyton gets to play in the super Bowl.

Well, well, well.....

Can you believe Peyton Manning played a great last 7:something minutes. He and company took about seven minutes off the clock in that last drive for a field goal.. Wow... On that Ravens defense too... :D

That Colts defense was great too... Give em props.... We'll see how long it goes.... 8)

Now,,, Go Saints....

Well, no surprise by most of us that the Saints pulled this one out. Good job by the Saints. It's going to be some good football tomorrow. 8)

That's the first time I've ever heard anyone say that about Peyton in the playoffs.
