I voted sometimes to. It just depends on the spirit and how it moves me. I cry on some songs we sing. I can really get a blessing when that happens.

Dr. Ron wrote:I cry often during my sermons. Especially if I am preaching on Grace. I can hardly believe that God cares about me so much to extend that grace to me.

But then , I cry at watermellon cuttin' too.!

I find it hard not to be moved with emotion when I share the word of God, tears generally come many more times than not. There is just something about that name, Jesus. Sometimes I walk into a meeting and I just get overwhelmed coming into the building, seeing people worshiping God and the tears flow. God's goodness is so beyond my understanding.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting

Yes, especially during the worship service.

When I think of his goodness and what his done for me.. my heart cries out, HALLELUJAH!!
Other times, I weep for I know it is and it was by His grace and mercy that has saved me, kept me, healed me, gave me peace in times of turmoil and has brought me through every situation.

Every time I sing the song.. His Grace and mercy has brought me through, I'm living "this" moment because of Him.

I can't help but cry out of gratitude and thanks giving to Him.

Just call me, ole weepy when we sing that song.

I hope God does bless ya to at least cry now and then :D

Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

When God blesses, I cry. And when I'm making intercessory prayer it can be that extremely heavy sobbing with ya nose running kinda crying.

I used to be one of those people that doesn't cry about anything. After working in a jail you learn to hide your emotions well. Now I won't say I cry all the time, but I do cry, and I thank God for that.

Now wait a minute, please don't equate emotion with crying, I can get emotional, but that doesn't mean it comes out in tears. If it's do you ever get emotional in church, yes, very much so, but I just don't produce tears much. May be a physical thing for me.

I did know someone one time (don't remember who it is) who couldn't cry, something wrong with their tear ducts, and often they were treated like they were callous because they didn't cry at funerals and things. Some people just don't cry, that does not mean we don't get emotional.

I get blessed now and again at church. and I often get choked up when I am teaching. but really only (now that I have thought about it), only really cried a few times in the past nearly 3 decades of being a Christian.

I wasn't saying that I am against crying either. Just doesn't happen with me (at church) very much at all. I cry and tear up a lot during movies. and am not ashamed of this expression of emotion at all. Just not at church.

I have emotions and I express them in many ways. (my wife will tell you that!). I think this is due to my particular belief in faith. I have always had a faith an Christian walk that was not based in emotion. I know that I know that I have salvation and that I have a restored relationship with God. I have never really felt a need to "feel" that relationship. I know it's there.

again, I am not against emotions and expressing them, or having faith that has some sort of base in that feeling. I just don't happen to be one of them.
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling

my post came out the wrong way. I didn't mean to say anyone that doesn't cry doesn't show emotions or isn't blessed. I just meant that from my experience when the Glory of God is so great that all I can do is weep there is no other feeling quite like it, and I wish everyone could experience it. Which before I go sticking my foot in my mouth again, I'm sure others experience it in some other way.

I am very emotional. My wife laughs at me as I will be the one to cry first over most sentimental movie scenes, etc.

In church, I cry mostly during the praise and worship. I have teared up during sermons, and have cried while preaching a few times.

To the contrary, I laugh during critical times. I know that sounds strange, but I have this mechanism that triggers laughter when the pressure of a moment is too overwhelming. It has been embarrassing at times. I have spoken to one other person who does this.
