I am planning on building a web site, and I have been playing with a piece of art work to be used in the header.

I started with a rather poor quality print from the Canon website of a paper model of the Abby Mont-Saint-Michel, France.

And produced two images that I am considering.

A - Image

or

B - Image

Which do you find to be more visually appealing?

There is also an additional picture below that has been added since I started this thread.

A is better for me personally. B looks really rough.

Are you wanting to use that specific pic or just a Abbey pic??

Here are a couple of FREE alternates I found....

http://www.untiltherapture.com/images/4 ... 900589.jpg

The second one would make a sweet header for a website! 8)

I linked to my site cause they are HUGE!

BTW... I am at home with sick kids and BORED! :P Thanks for something to do other than clean puke outta the floor. :?

Thanks for the input Cats. The piece doesn't necessarily have to be an Abby, it just that those type of structures are to me most appealing and lend themselves to what I want. The visual theme I'm looking for is going to be based on Mt. 5:14-16. So I'm looking at structures on hills. I've downloaded both of your pics and will play with them a little to see what I can come up with. Thanks again.

TW,
I hope you don't mind. I tweaked it quickly by removing the image stretch banding under the text by adding some different ground texture under it. Added a hint of a cloud on the left side to center to round out your text... and also made the image a tad sharper as to bring out the "city".

Great Image.

God Bless!

I have made up my mind to go with some sort of variation to "attempt 1."

Macuser I don't mind your tweaking at all. In fact I went back and did some tweaking on my own, following your tips. I tried to give the foreground to the left and center a "marshy" look. I also adjusted the color levels a little.

I am hoping to make this web site visually appealing, using various photos, graphics, and artwork. Any comments, opinions and suggestions will be entertained and welcomed.

I think you accomplished that well. Best of luck with it.
