Baseball question

I was at a Devil Rays game last night and I saw something I don't understand.

When a batter came up to bat, they would show (on the Jumbo Tron Screen) what he had done at his previous "at bats" during that game.

2nd Struck out swinging, 3rd Double to CF, and so forth. Here is the one that came up that I didn't understand....Fielder's Choice.

My question...what is Fielder's Choice?

A Fielder's Choice can only happen when another runner is on base. Fielder's Choice is when the ball is hit to a fielder and the fielder could have gotten the batter out by throwing to first base, but chose to force or tag out the lead runner.

*slap his own forehead* And here I thought it was having to choose between a hamburger or a hot dog.

*walks off muttering. . . "A hamburger or a hot dog? The hot dog won't be as greasy as the hamburger, but then you never know what kind of stuff they made the hot dog out of. A hot dog or a hamburger?*

:?:
