TC here's our chance

Most on this board along with some other sports board I participate on are all the time dogging the BE. Well after yesterday it's time we dog the Big Ten. For the first time in history a 1-AA team defeated a rank 1-A team. Not only are they ranked but ranked in the Top Ten. Even Herbstreit last night during the UT-CAL game stated that the Big Ten maybe the worse of the BCS conferences. It's about time the media started giving the BE some love.

You'd be proud of me. My brother, a typical SECist (as am I), was dogging on the other conferences, how much better the SEC is, all that, fave topic of conversation when you get us southerners started on it (at least those of us in SEC states). I defended the Big East. I reminded him that they were undefeated in bowl games last year ("Awww, you cain't look at that, it don't matter," was his response). Okay, point well made but not well taken. You won't convince most folks that any of 'em are as good as the SEC, BUT, I will say that I said, "You can criticize them, but as long as they win, that says all that needs to be said." He just scowled and shook his head. :lol:

Well it is useless... some people have hard heads.... (ok some people besides me ....and rob) and they will never see that the conference they are in is not the best...or second best.

I think the SEC is the toughest by far. Look at the coaches that have national titles, Fulmer, Stevie boy, Sabin, Urban Meyer. Yes they have alot of teams but in the east you can go 5-6 deep and have good teams and west 4 -5 that are good as well.

Other than that, Top to bottom, BE, PAC10, Big 12 and Big 10 you can get 4 maybe 5 good teams out of each. And those all are around the same level. With ACC being the worst.

we heard about all of the cupcake teams, well yep it happens but the point is you still have to win.

Thanks Dolfan for your defense, you could remind your brother that two years ago, a BE team, WVU defeated the SEC Champ, UGA in the Sugar Bowl. That was the last time the BE champ has met the SEC Champ.

Yep, I remember watching that game. I thought it was funny how everyone was dogging the BE after the Rape. And now the ACC is looking pathetic.

One of my best friends is a big Miami fan. He was just going on and on about how bad the BE was going to be. He wasn't laughing last year. :lol:

Well I think it is so funny how if any conference went undefeated in bowls we would never hear the end of it. Even if most of the time those "big Conferences" would be playing a lesser team.

IT does not happen often (unless there is only 1 or 2 teams in bowls) But since the BE 5-0 they have excuses.
