Steve Spurrier: King of the Low Class

Postby DaJudge » September 10th, 2007, 11:06 am

This man is a flaming jerk:

Say hello to Steve Spurrier. The coach threw out a few quips and one startlingly honest barb the day after his South Carolina team beat Georgia, 16-12.

"It wasn't like they were some big, powerful team," Spurrier said on his television show Sunday. "They've actually lost five in a row to Eastern Division opponents. Kentucky and Vandy beat 'em last year."

Be a graceful winner? Heck no, not if you are Steve Superior. If Christians could hate, he'd be first on my list.

There is this one shirt I saw... Roy rogers (I just made that up I forgot who the person was...) said I never met a man I didn't like... he never met Steve Spurrier

OK I have what i call a Christian HATE... for the guy, I never did like him. He has said that kind of stuff for years. Last year at the end of the bowl season... he said. I thought we did something by beating Clemson... then ky beat them and I realized it didn't mean anything.

I liked it a few years ago

I remember a few years ago in when he was at Florida. He scored over 50 in GA. Somebody asked him why he scored the last TD. He said well (i'm going from memory here) "Well, noone's ever scored more than 50 between the Hedges (whatever GA called them) and I wanted too" talking about no opponent had scored that many.

I find him quite funny and even refreshing at times. Too bad he's at USC.

he is the ultimate butthead, no one thinks higher of themselves more than He does. I loved that he went for the big money and got smacked back to the college level.

BUT the sad part is he is a fairly good Coach, if he would keep his mouth shut

Guess I'm in the minority here, I love the 'Ole Ball Coach. At the end of the game Saturday night he was asked what the win meant and he said, it means we are 1-0 in the SEC East. What a great answer.
If I were to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for business. I do the very best I know how, the very best I can, and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right will make no difference." -Abraham Lincoln
