Alright Guys and Gals Week 3 Thoughts are in.............

Postby KBevangelist » September 16th, 2007, 7:54 am

Well it was an eventful day in the world of Football.............

Georgia played WC and we won - given last weeks performance I will take it.

Alabama and Arkansas - boy what a finish. I wanted Bama to win, but sure hated Ark to lose after clawing their way back. Two good teams, but o well. UGA plays BAMA next week

Kentucky and L'Ville - God smiled on Kentucky and we Praise God for it. Great WIN

SLY CROOM actually won over Auburn

FLA/TN well thank God I will not have to hear rocky top for a week.

I hate that Nebraska lost to the surf boys from USC

Mich/ND - Great win in the Big House - can't stand ND.

BC/GaTech - I hate Tech lost! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duke snapped the nations longest losing streak - There is a God in heaven who cares about football.

Texas almost lost - too bad they didn't

WVa beat Maryland on Thursday - do you think the Fridge should start to hunt for a new job

Hawaii won, FSU won

Great finishes last night to the Ark/Ala and Kent/L'ville game

So what you do you think?

Well let's see....

I was in WV of course for my dad's funeral for the WV game so I got to watch it with some rowdy WVU fans, and it was great. However, WVU continues to win and beat the sport spread but falls in the polls. Still no respect for the BE. And after the week we had, well what can I say. South Florida's win over Auburn doesn't look good now seeing how lowly Miss. St. beat them. UL well what can I say, lost to UK. Rutger's beats a 1-AA team.

I was impressed with Florida. They killed UT, and I am convinced UT is not a good football team. LSU wins again can't wait for the UF/LSU game 1 cause there will be a game 2 in the SEC championship game.

USC - was impressive against Nebraska. However we will have to wait the remainder of the year to see how they play out.

Oklahoma - while they continue to win impressively, my thought is who have they played? Not only that but who will they play? Aside from Texas the answer is NOBODY. Still can't believe they jumped WVU this week.

I was disappointed in the showing UL made, however I have said from the beginning that UL is/was overrated. Their defense is terrible as was the case last night. UL will lose at least 2 more ball games before the year is out.

One more thought ND is still without a win. I knew Jesus wasn't Catholic and didn't live in that golden dome. Can you say 0-3.

Well that's my $.02, is it Thursday yet?

first off I will say this is not my week... EVERY TEAM that I really wanted to win did not... I will not go into all of it but here is MY thoughts ON MY team

I did not feel comfortable about the game before it started, the Kittens had nothing to lose and The Cards had everything to lose. THe Cards spotted them 13 in the first mins of the game, that kept the kittens in the game. I hated that the Cards D was ok with the 8yard gain. THey worked all night to stop the BIG play and did until the very end. I was not happy and would not be happy even if they had won, but they gave the ball back with over 1min left in the game (should not have happened)

THere were bad plays all around, our best return guy fumbles, then later makes 100 return, Brohm throwing the INT first play again that is not normal. Our Best rec dropped way to many that were in his hands.

The kittens played at their very best, and had to, to win. AND even then it took a last min long play to give it to them. The Cards for the first time played better on d (but still not good) and the O played the worst they did all season. I hope that the O has got it out of thier system and the D will wake up.

I was not so thrilled that my UW Huskies lost to OSU. Our savior QB, Jake Locker showed signs of brilliance, but also plays like the red-shirt freshman he is.

UCLA losing to Utah was disgusting.

Hawaii, CAL, Oregon & USC all pulling wins with USC rushing for over 300 yrd against Nebraska.

Best game of the weekend, was Notre Lame getting shut out.
Let the wild rumpus start!

Well when we Beat the kittens 7 of the last 8 years... I never called ONE person and started talking smack... YET I got about 30 calls sat night talking smack... OK I understand when you teams sucks for SOOOO LONG that when you finally get a win you want to crow... but it is NOT like I have been crowing about winning.

ALSO before the game and every year in the past, all we have heard was "well we are in the SEC and this game does not mean that much" or that we are not a big rival... YET ONE WIN and they storm the field like they just won the MNC.

I also find it funny that even die hard kitten fans thought the game was lost, They were in the GAME until the Cards took the lead, then they were on thier hands. I had kitten fans tell me the stadium was hitting the exits on THe Villes last drive and another big bunch was leaving after the two PF, YET they act like they were not as shocked as the Cards fans were, when they scored.

the game is 60 minutes long.....from the first second to the last.....it should not make a difference when a score is made.....

TC, now that's funny I don't care who you are. Like you expect folks on here to believe that?

I don't think so!!!

ROB... tell the truth and stay in the Church... When The Ville beat WVU... did I call you the second the horn went off? Did I call you at all? YEP I am happy when my Cards win, and IF or When someone want to get into a trash talk I will be fine to join in but I have NEVER started the trash talk about the Cards.

Rob I had people who I haven't seen for years call me, People who don't know anything other than the score. Some that did not even watch the game...

IF you watched the game you have to admit that the Cards did not play as well as they have all year, The Cats played better than they have all year. And still it took that last drive in the last min of the game to get it. Also I think it is SOOOO funny now I am getting the The Cats are gonna go undefeated, beat Fla, LSU an UT.. YEAH RIGHT...

I heard Bozo say today that really this just muddies the water, It does not say that uk is that good and UofL (esp D) is that bad... If you look at it MTSU scored more than the Kittens did, so it does not say that much about either team yet.

BUT ROB... WHEN HAVE I EVER CROWED? IF someone brings it up I will defend MY team but I don't start it.

the first half was a great game from UW side of the ball.....OSU saw the weakness on the defence side and that turned the game around. Locker has a great future before him ....UW should be a great team if they get the "D" going and the "O" builds arounds Locker....IMO Locker could play for most Division 1 Team.....

TC - let's set the record straight. Yes, you start stuff, you did last year with Dalebert and OSU. And the thing that really gets me is you can't admit when the little red birds or when orange gets beat that a better team beat them. I'm shocked your not blaming the refs for the red birds losing.

No Tony, you didn't call me last year, simply because you don't have my cell phone #, nor did I call you Saturday night, and wouldn't have if I had your cell phone #, what I dislike again is that you have a hard time separating fans, not all red bird fans are idiots any more than all Cat fans are idiots.

No the little red birds did not play as well as they have all year, but guess what they were not playing the little sisters of the poor either (otherwise known as 1-AA Murray St, or lowly Sun Belt Middle Tenn. St.). They were playing a decent (I know you can't say that) team out of the SEC. I think the Cats played about like they have all year, they looked good out of the gate against EKU, but again that is a 1-AA team, and they looked good in the second half against Kent. However, we will see how good they are when they go on the road against Arkansas next week.

I felt from the outset this year that UL was way overrated, even told you that they were not going to be that good on defense, and I will make a prediction for you, that if, and remember if, UL's defense does not improve greatly, Slaton, White, & Devine will have a field day.

Tony, some times we need to sit back and listen to ourselves, because we can't see the forest for the trees. My problem with you is that you can't admit that on one night, to be specific Saturday Night UK was better than UL. Doesn't mean it would happen again, but this past Saturday night it was true.

I'll be totally honest with you and tell you that if last year UL could have played WVU again, I think we would have won, but on Thursday night last year, UL was a better team.

Let me add this, I was in a tough position Saturday Night, one I really like UK, you know that, so part of me wanted them to win, however, I'm a BE guy and part of me want UL to win so that when WVU beat them in Nov. it would look better for us. Now that won't happen, I think if WVU runs the table it's going to be hard for them to get into the NC.

Anyway that's my $.02 and I'm enjoying the dialogue.
