Dr. Ron wrote:At one point we were told our music was of the devil............interesting that is what they told my sons and Galen Bell in the next generation when they played "Assembly....I Love It"! They got a letter of rebuke for that song........almost lost their souls over that one.

I got up and STORMED out of the Conn Center after the on-stage rebuke that Adoration received. I do have a copy of the response they recorded, "The Adoration Rap". It is hilarious.

Mr. Danger, I appreciate you standing up for the boys....but you still support the man who gave the rebuke. He was wrong and almost cost my sons their souls.

I won't use his name because it is Revered here, but he will one day have to apologize for his stupidity and arrogance....until then he remains one of my wife's most dis-respected men. She would shoot him if I would let her.

 I didn't know I supported him. If my wife or I listened to him, we wouldn't be married. He strictly told Kimmy it would be wrong for her to marry me. In the immortal words of Gary Riggins....Go Figure.

Okay, these are MOST of the lyrics to the song that was considered to be "of the devil" and recieved a strong rebuke"

The Assembly....We love it!

Rollin' down Peerless Rd.
Some pastor's pretty daughter by my side
Goin' to the tabernacle
But we probably won't go inside
Cause the guys are meetin' me at 3
I love the Assembly.

WE LOVE IT!!!!!!

Walkin' through the hall inside
Flashin' these new threads of mine

two lines forgotten here

For the fashion show at door 23
I love the Assembly

WE LOVE IT!!!!

Bridge:
From Ocoee to Keith ST.
There's far too many people for me to meet
From door 14 to door 30
Just too many girls lookin' pretty
I love the Assembly

WE LOVE IT!

For this song..my sons and Galen Bell recieved a personal letter each of rebuke and defamation. One reason why they will not go near the church anymore. Sorry to bring this thread down.

There is more truth in them lyrics than in the list they handed you at the door to live by!

*figures that's why they got rebuked*
Some people... in the words of Jack Nicholson... Can't handle the truth!

PLU! Well, I must have missed that one. I saw him in downtown Tacoma, at one of those old theatres- we sat in the balcony! :)

Dr. Ron, sorry to hear about your son's rebuke. I guess the Assembly was held pretty sacred!  :) :-k

NO!!!!!! We just had a lot of thinking back then that if you didn't look, dress, talk, sing, play what they wanted you to, then you had a "BAD" spirit!!! We have lost a few generations of youth because of that narrow minded thinking. Those that did the rebuking will have to answer to God for the damage that has been done. Remember, God LOVES children/youth!!!!!!!!! My 2 cents.
