Car Peeps

Postby Ilovebigcats » October 12th, 2007, 2:11 pm

Hey. Ummm. If you read the prayer requests you know that our van broke down. If you don't read them... well... our van broke down. :P

We went to eat Sunday Night and it wouldn't start when we went to leave. It was acting like it was out of gas. No fire. Ya know?

Anywho... we finally got it towed home Tuesday.

We think the fuel pump went out. There was no warning.. just death. *sound of doom* My BIL said it may end up starting... sometimes they go in and out.

Well.. just now I went to try to start it and it did. My question.. if I drive somewhere.. will it die?

Girl, give it last rites and find something better. I am doing that for my sis.

 I wish I could. I am seriously considering sending Danny to find something. I make enough money to cover the payment and insurance with my work from home. I am so tired of going through this. It is just so hard cause their are 8 of us and our options are limited. This is the first vehicle we have actually fit in! :?

And to answer my own question.... YES! It will die. It died in the driveway. :? :x

I have a friend who has a Chevy Astro mini-van for sale. I'm not sure of the model, but appears to be mid-nineties and it's green. I can talk to him about a good price if you're interested.

pa,

I don't think a mini van will fit 8.

That would actually be very cool... I'd paint that sucker up; either racing stripes and flames or Partridge Family 70's style and laugh my head off at the reactions.

I had a similar problem once and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay. It had gotten water in it and sometimes it would work, sometimes not. It's only about $15 (I think) and easy to replace. You might want to check it.

Some do some don't, I believe GM just dropped the 8 passenger option from their lines, which I hate, because that probably would have been our next van. We currently have a 7 passenger, and with 5 of us, having 2 extra seats rather than just one would be nice.
