Ellen Degeneres has a nervous breakdown over a dog on TV

Postby dolfan » October 16th, 2007, 9:59 am

Have you seen it? Go to yahoo's home page and watch the video. Kinda heart wrenching, and just awkwardly uncomfortable to watch at the same time. Complete breakdown over an adoptive dog and an oversight on her part. I just felt bad for the gal -- don't know that I'd have had a breakdown on national TV and the internet about it, and I don't give two hoots about her dog, but I hope she gets what she's requesting.

Wow, that is kinda sad. I think she was more hurt for the kids though.

And that is kinda stupid. She should be able to give it to who she wants. She paid for it. Especially as long as the dog is okay.

MAN we live in a mixed up culture.

I saw that this morning on her show. I think she brought it up on national TV to get people stirred and maybe get something done so the kids could get the dog back.

She feels responsible, she has a show at her disposal, no reason why she shouldn't use it to put some pressure on the pet rescue to return the dog to the girls. I felt sorry for her, but feel heartbroken for those little girls.

I hope that rescue business gets swamped with calls. Just let the girl's Mom adopt the dog so they can have it back. That would be the right thing to do.

PD do you have a pet in your house? I would have done the same thing if I were in Ellen's place. It is not that easy to replace a pet once you have bonded with them.

Yes I do have a pet...I've had many pets....the pet I have now I rescued from a grocery store parking lot. I love animals.

Ellen....however....adopted a pet....couldn't deal with it.....so she gave it away....broke the rules....and now wants everyone to pity her! She's a publicity hound and loves to make mountains out of mole hills....boo hoo hoo...I had a puppy for a couple weeks....I was ssooooo attached that I gave it away and it costed me about an hour of my salary and these poor kids got ssssooooo attached in TWO weeks that it's going to kill them. I don't think so!

I have foster children who lose parents, pets, belongings....entire lives because of adult stupidity.....Children can overcome ALOT!

P.S. nothing personal Rahab :D ....I just don't like celebs who whine about everyday petty stuff and try to them make national issues.

Nothing personel here either, but I do see her side. She did not know it was against the rules to give the dog away. She stated that there were problems with her cats and the dogs interaction. The kids bonded with the dog and she thot she was doing the right thing.

She DID know it was against the rules...she just ain't admitting it....I have a very good friend that does rescue and adopts out the animals and it is made very clear in a contract that is explained and signed....she's very smart and just trying to get her way. It's gotta be her way...even in her I'm a homosexual and proud of it attitude. That's the way she is...I've seen it a hundred times.

But who cares!!! God Bless
