Together

Postby Pastor Gary » October 17th, 2007, 2:13 pm

I know we did this once before (a while ago) but I ate something today that brought it back to mind:

Some flavors seem to be absolutely perfect complements to each other; they taste wonderful when experienced individually, but exponentially more incredible when tasted together.

Bacon + cantaloupe. (AMAZING)
Vanilla Ice Cream + fresh peach slices.
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

I'm with you on that, as long as by "mayo" you exclude that vile, vomitrocious, abomination from some place on the near outskirts of hell called "Miracle Whip." The only "miracle" in that whip is that anybody buys the nauseating, sickeningly-sweet mucous and then manages to keep it down. [-(

Postby Full Quiver » October 17th, 2007, 2:41 pm

I have had the bacon and cantaloupe flavors together PG while eating at a Shoney's breakfast buffet. I love both and like them at the same time as well.

For the truth that lies at the heart of theology is not something there to be discovered, but something, or rather someone, to whom we must surrender. The mystery of faith is not ultimately something that invites our questioning, but something that questions us.
