A New Generation

This past week Nancy and I were blessed to be in several nights of meeting on Prayer sponsored by the local church we attend.

What was so exciting about these meetings was the effect it had on the youth of the church. Each night the church was full, the youth were communicating to one another over my-space to get to church early so they could get a seat on the front row. Nancy and I glady surrendered our usual seats and retired to the third and fourth row, allowing more for the youth.

When the lessons were over and we began the corporate prayer time the youth were the first ones up. Praying over one another, holding hands and weeping before the Lord. Several youth received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for the first time.

The prayer lessons were on Paul's prayer for the saints in Ephesians 1:16-20. How awsome to hear the youth pray this prayer for their lives and to hear them pray it over one another.

Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Eph 1:19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.
