We had Rocktoberfest last night at church. Here are a few pics. If you have a myspace you can see the rest in my Halloween album.

I am also uploading some videos to youtube. They aren't that great. It is with my camera. And I always forget that I can't flip them if I film them long ways. grrr.

Here's one of Howie Cantrell singing Desperado. I missed the part where he messed up the verse and said he sounded nasty. LOL!!

And a little boy doing karaoke...

And no the lady didn't have her hands raised to Desperado!
She was raising her cell phone lite up instead of a lighter. LOL!

Postby Dr. Ron » October 30th, 2007, 5:41 am

Man we had a great time....estimated about 300 people...ran out of hot dogs, chili, hamburgers, chips and everything....it was way cool.

Had some serious costumes....we don't play here.....we just have a good time!!

We don't even try to bait and switch....it's Halloween people! If you are going to try to do the "spiritual switch" be real and just boycott the whole idea!!!! We just say .....hey lets use this as an excuse to have some fun and touch some people.....wait till you see what is next!!!!!

Thanks to Wen, we got some serious pics! Her kids are the cutest!!!
We are enjoying having this family in church....Danny is now on the prayer team!!!

With me in the nursery we will be in both services more often so I don't miss anything. I told him he needed to volunteer so he ain't snoozin through the 2nd service. (last time he was in the hallway chatting with Howie!) I tried to get him in the nursery with me. It guess he just needed to be drafted. LOL! Is he one of those that needs a "special invite?" ;)

This is the man that ruined Karaoke! LOL! He can SANG! He made everyone else hesitant. It was good though!

Our worship leader! What was Gerald saying about Hillbillies??? ;)

Ron may be the only one to laugh at this but Howie is a NUT! He tried to jump into my shot with his cup of chili and Mt Dew. He messed the focus up and I didn't get the bonfire but I did get a funny portion of Howie.

I blinded the last load of hayriders with my camera flash!

I'd know that face anywhere, that is Barksdale Bryant! Man, I miss him. I remember him, dalebert and me back in our safehouse days. Hey dale, wat was that youth leader's name from Michigan?

BARKSDALE!!!

Yes it's true he is a Bryant descended straight from what is now Fields of the Wood where his granddad or great dad lived. I guess the CoG is a bunch of backwoods folks. Just look at Barkey's get up.
