Well, they made up their minds; 20-30 minutes ago, I was called from my cube into an office, told I was terminated and that I would not be allowed to return to my desk. My supervisor asked me for my address so they could mail me my personal stuff, and thanked me for all my work, inadequate though it was. Another supervisor went and got my jacket, water mug, pictures of my grandniece and nephews, and my bible, and I was marched out the front door so I wouldn't have to go back through the sales floor.
I know God is taking care of me. I have a job to go to monday, and another job to apply for. I have my home internet service back on, my car runs, there is food in the kitchen, and people are praying for me.
I still hate the way it feels to lose a job.

Why is it that bad decisions seem to make to most interesting testimonies?

Response: I think he said he missed a sales quota or something like that.
I hear Rush talk about being fired was one of the best things that ever happened to him.
Keep your chin up!
What we need here is a good revival! lol

Sorry, I mean, what kind of job was he doing? What was he selling? That kind of thing...
Praying for you, Mike.

I believe it was Cell phone plans he was selling.

I was what is called an Inbound Telemarketer. I took calls from people who called into Sprint to buy a phone and set up service. I sold them phones, accesories, and service plans with additional features.
After they changed our call environment, I wasn't able hit my sales quota for the last four months, and that is grounds for termination.
I am very grateful for the prayers. Thank you all.

Mike, I know everything will work out. I went thru some stuff trying to buy my truck recently. I trusted God that these problems were his way of making things better and it was. I trusted God that he put a roadblock in my way until it was the right time. The loan officer told me today that she felt God put this block in my way so things could work out when it was his time. She also said if things had worked out when I first applied she would not have been able to offer me such a good deal due to changes recently installed. I'm praying for you to hang in there and wait for God's timing for your life. He has so much better in store for you in the future.
To God be the Glory.

Too late
It's too late to give you this line now, but you should have responded...
"Hey, I've been fired from nicer places than this before!"
Seriously:
O LORD, you have searched Mike
and you know him.
You know when he sits and when he rises;
you perceive his thoughts from afar.
You discern Mike's going out and his lying down;
you are familiar with all Mike's ways.
Before a word is on his tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
You hem Mike in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon him.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for him,
too lofty for him to attain.
Where can Mike go from your Spirit?
Where can he flee from your presence?
If he goes up to the heavens, you are there;
if he makes his bed in the depths, you are there.
If he rises on the wings of the dawn,
if he settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide Mike,
your right hand will hold him fast.
If Mike says, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
For you created Mike's inmost being;
you knit him together in his mother's womb.
He praises you because he is fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
Mike knows that full well.
His frame was not hidden from you
when he was made in the secret place.
When he was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw Mike's unformed body.
All the days ordained for him
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to Mike are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were he to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When he awakes,
Mike is still with you.
Amen!
