So What You Think? Week 10

Postby KBevangelist » November 3rd, 2007, 7:12 pm

Week ten boys and girls.

What you think?

Oregon should be considered for NC title in my opinion. Beaver you should be excited.

Ga won. Auburn next week and I still need you TENN people to lose one.

LSU and ALA what a game. LSU has pulled more last minute wins than anyone I can think of. They get it done before the clock strikes 0

Ohio State is starting to make me believe. I am almost at a point of retracking my "#1 by default" - Dalebert should be pleased

Notre Dame lost to NAVY - Can we stand up and Salute!!!

Kansas slaugthered the cornhuskers - bet you callahan will be out before long. I am assuming Kansas might be for real as well.

My Ducks did indeed turn in another impressive performance. Back to back over USC and Arizona State should put us in at the very least #3.

Don't forget that BC lost -- and I say they lost because they had several opportunities to snatch the game -- to Florida State, knocking them out of the NC picture. If you're undefeated and lose now, it'll be too late to get that coveted 1 or 2 spot back in the BCS poll.

And UO needs to be careful of UCLA. They're horribly inconsistent this year, springing a couple huge upsets yet laying eggs against some horrible teams. Since we take on the Bruins in LA soon, I am legitimately worried. We play Arizona on the road (win), UCLA on the road (I'm worried about this one) and Oregon State at home (big win).

I would not be surprised if the BCS formula looks at the LSU win over Alabama and says it wasn't good enough, but says the Ducks' was, giving Oregon the #2 spot. I don't expect that but I wouldn't be surprised. If given the #2 tomorrow, we're going to have to win and win big from here on out to solidify that. LSU and Suckeyes losses would help BIG TIME.

If I were running the BCS here's how it would look:
1. Ohio State (Boeckman's a stud)
2. Oregon (too explosive for anyone to contain)
3. LSU (best SEC team by far)
4. Kansas (78 points on Nebraska!!!!)
5. Missouri (these guys are real deal)

One Big Ten team, one Pac10, one SEC and two Big 12. No one from the Big East or ACC representing, and certainly no Independents (Notre Lame) even though since it is ND I am sure a 1-8 record will get them automatic entry into the Fiesta Bowl.

Hawaii, as undeserving as it is, if it wins out will get throttled in a BCS bowl. They're not the BSU of last year but would be ok to watch anyway.

Yep you are right about that one too. However, I was glad FSU one, I am a Bobby Bowden fan. He needed this win bad.

Here's my thoughts on Week 10:

Bobby Bowden does it again, way to go FSU knocking off BC which should have happened last week.

Ohio St. is looking better all the time, however I think when they go to the Big House things could be different. Michigan is coming on strong.

S. Florida, just a few weeks ago was #2 now they are no where to be seen. If only...........

LSU-Bama what a game. I was pulling for Bama but in the end Les Myles, who by the way, if I ever go to Vegas to gamble I'm taking him with me. How many 4th downs can this guy pull out of his hat? And to think one of the only ones he didn't get was against UK.

Oregon-ASU I made it a purpose to watch this game so I could see how good these two Pac-10 teams are. My conclusion is this: ASU is overrated, their "O" line could not block for the run or the pass. When Carpenter did get time to throw he did a good job for almost 400 yards. Oregon offensively is very well balanced, first time I've seen Dixon and have to say the kid can play. If I had a vote today he would win the Heisman. The Ducks defensively was not impressive to me. I think if they go up against Ohio St, (which by the way will get beat by Michigan) or LSU they will lose to both of those teams. Having said that I think the NC game will be between Oregon and LSU, that's right you heard it first here.

Kansas is overrated. Who have they played? Sure they put 76 against a terrible Nebraska team, which is not the Nebraska teams I'm use to watching. Kansas will get beat by Missouri and Missouri will get beat again by Ok in the Big 12 championship game.

Here's my Top Ten for the week:

1. The Ohio State University they will go to Ann Arbor undefeated.
2. LSU - The best team in the country in my opinion.
3. Oregon - Will probably play for the NC
4. West Virginia - hoping Oregon trips up.
5. Oklahoma - I'm just not impressed with this team.
6. Boston College - Will probably lose again to Clemson
7. UGA - Their only hope is UT loses again.
8. Kansas - simply because they are undefeated.
9. Missouri - Best Big 12 North team.
10. Virginia Tech - will probably be the ACC champ
If I were to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for business. I do the very best I know how, the very best I can, and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right will make no difference." -Abraham Lincoln

First time I saw him play was against the UW Huskies 2 years ago. I remember thinking, I wish he'd turn pro now so the OU program doesnt skyrocket like it has. I was hoping ASU would win yesterday, just because I don't like the ducks. BUT, I will be pulling for them come January! and yes, Dixon will have to be considered for the Heisman, but I hope he doesn't get it. Usually, the Heisman winner hasn't done much in the NFL & I'd like to see Dixon succeed.
Let the wild rumpus start!
