I didn't say nor do I know whether or not we are losing in Iraq. Losing money, yes, the war effort, I don't know. I believe things have calmed down quite a bit and things seem to be better.
My point is why write off Ron Paul because of one issue when you will vote for another person based on one issue when that one you are voting for may not have the same social and economic values that you have?

Harry Reid, Democratic Senate Majority leader said this about Iraq, from the floor of the Senate:

Violence is down, and certainly that is important and good, but many of the experts are saying one reason the violence is down is that so much ethnic cleansing has already taken place.

In other words, he admits that things are going well in Iraq, but he thinks the reason is that the jihadists have run out of people to kill!
