Card making 101

Postby TW » November 17th, 2007, 9:24 am

Good morning class, my name is Professor TW. Today we will cover the basics for card making. Since you are reading this, I think that we can safely assume that your computer is on and working. Let's get started, shall we?

Step one: Use your search engine, in our example I am using Google.

Image

Click on "Images" then type in what you want to look at, such as, "Cornucopia," then click search.

When the search engine displays the images, browse through them and select the image you wish to use.

Image

Now download that image to your computer.

Image

Once the image is in your computer you can use MSPaint or any of the photo editing programs. I use PhotoShop.

Image

Now you can crop your picture, resize it ( I have found that 600 pixels is a good size for posting in the forums), and add text.

Image

Now you can, if you have an account with one of the photo hosting web sites, upload it to that site.

From that site you copy and paste the image link directly into your post on J2. Your results should look like this.

Any questions? Good. Now class dismissed, go make some pretty cards for all your friends and family.

Great job Penny! Once you get used to following the steps, there's nothing to it.
