My Best Pastoral Advice for Singles

Postby justsam » November 17th, 2007, 12:39 pm

It's better to be single than to be married to the wrong person.

God Bless You- Pastor Sam
Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? (Jesus)

Oh, yes amen!
Why is it that bad decisions seem to make to most interesting testimonies?

guys, I really need alot of prayer right now. His family is basically calling me a hypocrit and beginning to spread lies about me. I know it is all just out of anger, but it is still hurtful.

Please pray that he will forgive me someday.

There's that saying about sticks and stones but I don't like it because words can and do hurt. But there is a healing that you can experience that the others may never have. Anyone who would believe a lie about you will go through life never knowing the real you, and they won't know what they are missing.

Aren't you glad these people will never be your in-laws?

Especially if their beliefs are "completely wacko"

Did you explain what belief was considered "completly wacko"?

Wendy, I'm praying for you. You'll be alright.

Darling sister, doing the right thing isn't always going to be rewarded with good things from your peers. Sometimes, they will crucify you.

I feel for you having to deal with spiteful slander on top of the emotional pain you already have to deal with, but pray for your enemies, and do good to those who spitefully use you. Feel sorry for them; they are the ones who will reap the whirlwind unless they repent.

Trying to defend yourself against that sort of slander will do nothing to change the minds of the ones who don't like you or what you did, and the ones who know you did the right thing already know better than to believe it. All it will do is extend the life of the story and offer validation to the accusers.

Let it go, refuse to harbor resentment for wrongs done to you in the Name of Jesus. And know that we love you and are praying for you, and that will too will pass...

We will also pray that he will understand what part of his beliefs are not right.. I believe God can reveal truth to him and show him where his thinking is off.
..I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ took hold of me.
