Respected Friend

Postby Pastor Don » November 18th, 2007, 4:28 pm

Wendy;
I was just reading what you are going through and my heart is broken for a respected friend. Please know that you are in the forfront of our prayers and I felt led to share with you something that I know you already know, but just wanted to give you a reminder...

1 Peter 3:16-17
16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

And also...

1 Peter 4:12-16
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

Be encouraged dear Sister, you are loved.

God bless...
Blessings; DJ

Prayer is happening.

Proverbs 16:3
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

( This one was fresh on my mind myself! )

lots of voices about your trials. I would also like to suggest that you pray that this is the right direction. it may be easy to drop it off, so to speak, and then to have the family say things that are apparently making it "easier" for you to feel that you did the right thing.

Prayer that you are obedient to God's will for your life, whatever direction it may be.
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling

Praying for you Wendy! Another one that doesn't know you on
a personal level - but can relate to what you're going through!

Just remember that God can use all types of situations & circumstances
to help us grow! No matter what the outcome - we'll pray that you
follow His leading.

I went through a somewhat similar situation (less some of the whacko beliefs
- although the whole "Concerned" thing was a factor to some extent) while
dating someone from the home church - and can honestly
say it was one of the most difficult times of my life. Even though I
felt I made the right decision (and still believe I did) - I still felt guilt
and had to deal with the family.

I had lots of doubts & lots of questions - and reached the point where
I finally just prayed one night for the Lord to give me some clear direction.
(I'll pray that your situation doesn't drag out as long as
mine did by the way!). I questioned a lot of things - even including
my salvation.

The very next day - out of the blue - I received a call at work.
An acquantance (one of those prayer warrior type) that knew
nothing of my situation, lives about 2 hours away from me, & had
actually only met me once or twice (didn't even know how to get
ahold of me) - called someone they knew from my area (who ended
up being related to the other individual in question) and asked them
to get ahold of me & let me know that they didn't know what I was
going through, but, while praying felt that the Lord had impressed
them to get ahold of me & tell me to hold the course that
I was on & told me that I was in God's care.

It was literally the next day. I almost fell apart at work when I got
this phone call & the other party started the conversation with -
"are you Okay?". I was speechless - but God gave me the
confirmation I needed at that time.

Just keep praying & listening! I know from lurking on the board that
you've got some good friends to lean on as well! Take advatage of
them in times like these for support & encouragement! It may be a
rough time now - but you'll look back & laugh about it some day.

God Bless!

I just wanted to say that God has really been giving me tons of strength throughout this whole situation! I know it is because of all the prayers of my family and friends, especially my friends on Jude2!

I am thankful for all of ya'll.

AND, zak's sister did retract that statement about me that was a lie. I don't know if she was just mistaken or what, but at least I know she is not trying to lie about me behind my back anymore.

The truth shall set you free!

Please pray for him spiritually and that God will heal his pain

I know you do not know me but you will be in my prayers. I again commend you on this wise but hard decision. I will pray for him as well and for God's will to be done. The Lord will give you strength.
May God bless you sister
