What do you want?

Postby Ilovebigcats » November 19th, 2007, 9:51 am

As adults... we don't usually get asked what we want for Christmas.
So I am asking. What do you want for Christmas?

I want Jessica Seinfeld's book Deceptively Delicious, the Magic Bullet, and
a food saver. :D I have wanted 2 of those for years. Jessica's book made me want it that much more. 8)

How about ya'll?

A portable dishwasher (not the countertop ones, I don't have the space!)!!!!! Anyone feel like taking up a collection for me? $300 from Walmart.com. I've got my eye out for a used one from somewhere.

My Mom called me a few days ago to ask what I wanted for Christmas and my birthday. I told her I couldn't think of anything I needed or wanted except for a UK hoodie. Guess I am content with what God has blessed me with.

I would love to have the Amazon Kindle, it just came out today and you can download 200 books on it. The screen looks just the pages in a book and you can change the fonts to whatever size you need. I think this is so cool.

It is pretty kewl. for just reading e-books, I like the sony one better, and it's a hundred bucks cheeper (if you can believe that from sony!) and it has upgradeable memory for storing more books. the kindle does have cellular wireless, that's a plus. but all in all, neither one will work for me, as they don't have the books I want to read. :( so I have to stick with my tablet PC and Libronix! woohoo!!

OK - my vanity coming through....

Postby darylscook » November 19th, 2007, 5:26 pm

Since I am getting (well me and Terri are getting each other a HP Pavilion tx1320 tablet laptop for Christmas -- 2G RAM, 250 G hard drive, 2.0 GHtz dual core processor) sweet deal for ~$1000. What I really want is....

LASIK Eye Surgery

I know, but I hate glasses, contacts are a pain and my eyes have quit changing and my prescription is -2.50. So, I believe I would be a great candidate. But $1500/eye is too much. Maybe one day...

OUCH! You mean you are already out money? That really hurts.. I hope you will be able to get out of as much as possible without too much floating $$$.

I don't really know what I would like for Christmas... just a really nice, warm time together with my family will be nice I think.
..I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ took hold of me.

I have heard some horror stories about that. I would be too scared though the idea of it is really nice! 8)

My cousin had a problem with his and had to remain in complete darkness for days, while hoping it would be resolved.. yikes..! Though it turned out okay, I know he was praying a lot..
And I know of another person who was legally blind after the surgery.
..I press on to take hold of that

for which Christ took hold of me.

Just today

Postby Pastor Gary » November 19th, 2007, 7:26 pm

My wife and daughter asked me just today, "What do you want for Christmas?" and I said, honestly, I have everything I need. I have most of want I WANT. (Okay, maybe next year I will switch from Blackberry to iPhone when the second generation comes out, but that is not need at all... just a neat gadget.)
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)
