I give up...you people are vile and loveless with me. I came on here with an honest heart and honest question and I get spit on for invading your space.

It's pointless. You win. This is an exclusive site. If I proclaimed myself the resident sinner, I would be more than welcome here.

What on EARTH is your problem?? You asked, I answered, and did so with grace and humor, IMHO, because it was asked nicely -- and now you blast and rip me like that?

Tim, I don't get it.

Just advice,

Dont ask any question that could have any relation to what the COGOP used to teach or what TCOG teaches. I say again you say we are so bad to you?
Rebellion interesting you bring that up. SO all the ones who did not agree with what was going on and were ignored did not matter. All parliamentary procedures held at that time just vanished and they are rebels. I like it best the last qoute I gave in reference to BILLY MURRAY about the caliber of those who are willing to stand for what is right.
Listen you are not in TCOG or the former practices of COGOP so why get so defensive. I do not look down on you, yet it is evident many look down at us.
Happy Thanksgiving

MOREGODlessme wrote:FYI...my watch is made of rubber. It's a TIMEX IRONMAN. Very glamorous.

So rubber jewelry is okay. Hmmm. You mentioned etching a watch with a wedding date. Are they etching the back of rubber watches now? How romantic!

As I said earlier, I dated a girl who wore a wedding ring. I was not saved at the time, therfore, I was not THAT concerned. I believe if one does wear one, they'd better back up the symbolism that comes with it. In this day and time, acting married stands out more than wearing a hunk of metal.

How gross of a thing to even bring up. Leave it in the past. If I was your wife I would humiliated that you even said that publicly. Where's the shame? Should we be concerned with what a cheater might think and alter all our attire based on that?

P.S. I sense much hostility. Wendy, where did that come from.

It comes from hypocrisy. I am tired of it. Call me the hypocrisy whistle blowing police. I am in the mood for a new job.

WENDY SAID:Just because you think a wedding band is pointless because of your upbringing, doesn't give you the right to treat people with a downcast stare for not measuring up to your OPINION.
My how things get misread on here.

Plain and simple. If it wasn't for your upbringing you would be on the other side wondering why someone wouldn't wear a wedding band.

I feel the love.

You don't really want to feel the love. You get your kicks from being the poor me brother of the family.

I meant nothing harsh by this. Honestly. If my brother would have asked this, it would NOT have been handled this way. But I am not part of the "Click."

First of all, it is c-l-i-q-u-e. Second of all I am GLAD I am not in the clique. The definition of clique is TCOG to the core.

I am TCOG. The scourge of the internet religion.

God can help you with that.

But GOD still loves me. No more or less than He does you.

No one argued that FACT. He could careless if I wear a wedding band or not. You can have the biggest ego and a heart full of pride in your heart sporting your rubber bracelet. I can have a meek and humble spirit with a gold bracelet. I think God isn't looking at the wrist. It's all about the heart. Whether you ever put gold on or not what is in your heart WILL show itself.

You people really know how to hurt and attack people. And then have no remorse to apologize.
Thanks for everything.

WOW! A man pity party. What about the people you have hurt? What about the attitude you display.

Funny how someone thought your name was better with capital LESS than more. Wasn't from my family, but I did laugh.

Sorry Mike, I couldn't filter out the legitimate answers for all of the manure. Thank you. I am just looking for answers. I am physically deaf in one ear. Mayber my eyes are deaf to the good answers, because all I read was the mudslinging.

It isn't the best of days for me and I seem to be looking at all the negative...i.e. Gerald Creasy. I miss my dad this time every year and life is not good from November through December. Come to think of it, my life pretty much sucks. If it wasn't for my wife and kids, I'd make myself disappear. But enough about that crap.
So, Mike, Gary, et al, thanks for your answers. They are duely noted.

Well, that would be hard for me! But I'm always up for a challenge!!

MOREGODlessme wrote:What is the importance of a wedding ring?

It is a symbol of our love, it's eternal as a ring is neverending so is my love to my spouse. Does it mean that if I didn't have a ring our marriage was not neverending? Heck no, but it's a sign of our love if only to each other. I could care less what others think. Beside, I LOVE DIAMONDS!!!!

MOREGODlessme wrote:Knock off the pontifical "you think you are better than us" crap.

You are very wrong, my momma always told me I was somebody special! You calling my momma a liar?

I think I managed that. Sorry you are having a hard time right now, but I hope you realize we aren't the enemy.

MGLM,

I apologize for trying to provoke. I intended no harm. The real issues of life are much more important than rings, debates, or message boards. May God comfort you during the holiday season as you are blessed with fond memories of your father.

Sincerely,
pa

No apology needed for me. But, I think you ought to consider one to the board in general. It needs to be remembered by everyone here that you COG/TCOG/COGOP/etc folks have a sad and painful history, one that revolves around that issue, among others. People were hurt, on both sides, and if you're gonna bring up an issue that has caused pain, it's a good idea to be very deliberate and specific in explaining why you want to discuss it. Otherwise, people are going to misunderstand and respond in the way their pain leads them to.

Dude, I miss my dad too, especially around holidays. I believe he's with God, but there are so many things I'd love to share with him. He's have a blast on a modern computer, and all the information and people available to him on the internet would probably cause him to do what a guy I know of said happened to him; he discovered the internet, and after what seemed like a short time, looked up and realized he'd been at his computer for two weeks and didn't smell so good...

MOREGODlessme wrote:Come to think of it, my life pretty much sucks. If it wasn't for my wife and kids, I'd make myself disappear. But enough about that crap.

It's not always easy to remember the good things we have when we are reminded of who and/or what we have lost. Sometimes it's bloody hard. I am grateful to God that you have a wife and kids to share life with. They can keep you focused on the now, instead of the past or the future.

If you didn't know, I tend towards depression myself. I got to a point where I didn't really want to kill myself, but I would have been glad to die and get it over with. If you were serious about what you said about making yourself disappear, and want to talk about that, PM me. You don't have to feel like that.

You're welcome, and have a nice Thanksgiving. Your family loves you, and so does Jesus, and, a lot of us here are trying to...

Gerald, why have you been so mean lately? You've always been outspoken, and ready to take up a debate, but lately it seems like you have a chip on your shoulder. What's the real deal, brah?

I believe the expression you were looking for is "intestinal fortitude" as in having "guts" i.e, intestinal fortitude. You kind of hit another region
