Okay, once again, I don't know why you would want that. Georgia, with the way everyone else is playing this weekend, championships next week, has an outside (and realistic) chance to play for a National championship. The rate things are going, we could be looking at a Georgia vs Ohio State championshp game. :D

Great game. They are getting ready to win it with a field goal in the second overtime. Doesn't matter who wins after this kick, it has been a good game by both teams. THEY BLOCKED IT!!!!!!!!

Help me understand this. I had to leave the room for a minute so I don't understand. How can you not have a penalty for facemask, but you can for a guy throwing a ball?

Still a good game. Keep praying Georgia fans. We typically win when you do. :D

Thanks Dawg fans for praying for Kentucky. It worked! Great game by both teams.

NOW UT GETS DESTROYED BY LSU!!! Yippee

p.s. Does this mean that all of the people that called for Fulmer to be fired and used not making it to the SEC championship as an excuse owe him an apology?

Since I have been officiating football I have been amazed at how many folks simply don't know the rules. There are some rules that apply to Friday Night (High School) others to Saturday (College) and still others to Sunday (pro's).

But you have a great question here. Allow me to explain. The Facemask was a good call. However, remember we are in overtime, and UT was on defense and UK was on offense and UK facemasked a UT player (can't remember who the two players were). Since UT was on defense in OT you can't in force a penatly and bring the offense on. Simply a dead ball foul and play is over.

However the unsportsmanlike penatly against UT that was inforced, it was 4th down and to start a new OT period UT would have the ball so that penatly can be inforced. It's like an extra point dead ball foul on the team kicking the extra point and it being inforced on the kick off same principle. That was the difference.

By the way I was at the game, left  in the 3rd quarter after UT scored to go up 31-14. Guess who is kicking himself now.

Thanks for explaining that. MOOT POINT since UT scored on the first play after the penalty. I was screaming at the TV most of the afternoon.

Why wouldn't we want to play for an sec championship? Thats why these kids go to these schools. To play for them.

Georgia really would have needed to play for the SEC championship to get into the BCS title game.

KY/TN was a great game. I think KY blew it when they ran the clock down to 1 second in the second overtime.

Oh well, GA will get a BCS berth.

Okay, now someone explain this to me. Why should UGA get a BCS bid, when #1 they didn't win their division?
#2 they didn't get to play in their conference championship game?

Like Nebraska a few years ago playing for the NC when they did neither.

It's another arguement for a playoff. Georgia is the hottest team in the SEC in my humble but honest (and totally correct) opinion. West Virginia is playing great.

Once again, the two best teams will not play for the NC. LSU, Oregeon, etc could have a good run. Oh well.

I agree! But BCS is what we have and at least we are able to gripe and complain about it.
