Christmas Carols and Music

Postby TW » November 25th, 2007, 8:38 pm

German is a guttural language, meaning harsh or throaty, or so they tell you when you study languages. They obviously have not listened to this. Silent Night, just as it was written in 1818 in Austria.

This never fails to bring tears to my eyes. I hope that it touches you as deeply as it does me.

Although this is not a Christmas Carol per se, I have always related it to the Christmas Season. Again by Celtic Woman.

While this is also not a "Christmas Carol" my family always played it a Christmas time. The Ambrosian Singers.

Agreed, TW. Breathtakingly beautiful in its pure simplicity. Thanks for sharing these special renditions of the songs of the season.

I, too, am a huge fan of Celtic Woman. I saw their entire Christmas concert on PBS the other night. Amazing.
