Shellie, I was a city girl....we had indoor plumbing!!! :P

Though when we did visit our country relatives I do remember staying in the "little house" which was a cinder block building with two beds and a commode (no privacy) for relatives who came to visit as the trailer was too small for anyone other than my grandparents. Matter of fact, if you were in the kitchen and wanted to go into the livingroom you walked in the hall and if someone else was walking in the hall, one of you had to step in the bathroom to clear the path!! It was so small but as a kid I loved visiting them! Lots of love in that little trailer house.

WOW, that just brought up more memories that I didn't want to remember from my early childhood!!!

Thanks! sousearcher!!!! :)

On a better memory, my girls loved the Sears & Penney catalogs and would circle everything they wanted from both books. Those are such fun memories...makes me want to go get the Sears catalog and look at it again!

I would sometimes circle the things I wanted and put my brothers initial next to hoping he would get somthing I wanted. Never worked though.

My boys still do this, grab the catalogue and circle what they want. Last night my 7 yr old was working away on one. After he went to bed, I picked it up and found a $300.00 pair of night vision binoculars he wants. :?

Paully,

It must be in the air. Last night, my 9 year old told me that he wanted night vision binoculars. :?

I remember our three kids looking through the wonders of the wish book and circling items "they wanted". It was a great tool for me as I helped Santa shop for them.

DaJudge, You should have put this post on the New Topic Challenge you would have won. I just can't believe no one wants to give to their favorite charity.
