Who to Upig?

Early reports have Tuberville to Arkansas. Wow, it's becoming a huge year for coaching changes.

Not Tuberville, Not Bowden, but Grobe?

Another Saban-like performance

Postby HogWild » November 30th, 2007, 11:22 am

Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville told listeners to his weekly radio show that fans "don't need to panic or anything" amid reports that he could bolt to Arkansas to replace Houston Nutt.

"I'm not looking to go anywhere," Tuberville said on the show, which aired Thursday night but was recorded previously.

I think he stays at Auburn, personally. I think.

Grobe's record is 45-39 with a career record of 78-72-1 and there is a competition for his skills. This is crazy. What would he bring? The Orbit offense?

I guess it doesn't matter b/c he's not going to AR. (apparently)

Tim,

I think people are looking at his more recent accomplishments of taking Wake from nothing to something in a short time. It appears that Wake appreciates him enough to give him a nice fat raise.

Do you know where he was at before taking over at Wake Forest? No googling either?

I saw that information the other day, but I can't remember for sure. Was it Miami (OH)? I think wherever it was his record was like 8 wins.

IMO, Troy University's HC, Larry Blakeney, would be an excellent prospect for Arkansas. He's got SEC coaching experience (was an assistant for like 7-8 years at Auburn in the 80's, and was the play caller when they won 4 SEC championships and were walking all over opponents under Pat Dye) and he's taken that former D2 program in Troy to undeniable success in D1A. They've got a better record this year than Bama or Auburn (but no bowl game this year), stomped Rice last year in the New Orleans Bowl, and he keeps winning.

Dolfan,

I agree. How can we get this advice to the Arkansas officials? :D
