Hawaii Warriors vs Washington Huskies

Postby Pastor Gary » November 28th, 2007, 10:01 am

For anyone who has an interest in this game, you might want to know that it is pouring rain here in Hawaii --- BUCKETS. We actually had very rare thunderstorms last night and they are predicting a possibly wet weekend.

So the rain is not in Hawaii's favor -- passing game gets sloppy with a wet ball, but the 79° temperature will likely work against the Huskies, as they are more acclimated to colder football weather. (Last week the Boise team was obviously impacted, and even had those misting cooling fans on their sidelines.

Advantage Hawaii, though on the home field, sold-out stadium and fired up NOISY crowd hoping for a perfect season and a BCS berth.

I saw the line was Warriors by 14. I think even with the rain I'd take them and the points.

As much as I am a Husy Fan, these past couple of years have seen the once illustrious program go down in a shambles. I heard today that Tyronne will be back at least 1 more year.

Well the way Washington is playing right now, they deserve the #1 spot in the BCS. They're rolling up the yards against Hawaii, 28-7 right now with 8 minutes and change in the 2nd quarter.

It is halftime right now, and pouring rain in Honolulu.

Brennan and the Warriors are almost always a second-half team, but they don't play well in the rain. It ain't over til it's over... we shall see in a couple of hours.

Hawaii: The ONLY undefeated team in the NCAA

Postby Pastor Gary » December 1st, 2007, 10:29 pm

The game just ended... Hawaii is 12-0, coming from 21 points behind to defeat the Washington Huskies 35-28. What a game. The Huskies played well, but this was simply Colt Brennan and the Warriors year.

That spells trouble if they nearly got beat by a horrendous Washington team. For two quarters, Washington played out of their mind then proceeded to revert to form and forget they had the lead.

Congrat's to your team PG. And my prediction is that they will land a BCS bowl bid in New Orleans against UGA.

That has been their way of playing all year long. Play good for 1-2 quarters and then in the 2nd half not make ANY adjustments. Their defensive coordinator has GOT TO GO! Tyronne will be around for another 1-2 years as he is already landing some big time recruits.

I wish the game would have been played here. We woke up to about 2" of snow and it never got above 34 degrees. That may have helped us out abit.

Congrats to Hawaii on an undefeated season. Big accomplishment no matter how it is accomplished.
