Jude2 Bowl Pick-em Championship Series.

Postby Rob » December 3rd, 2007, 6:46 am

Instead of the BCS we have the J2BPCS:

Here's the rules for this game:

#1. All selections must be made by December 19th for all Bowl games to be eligible to be declared the winner. (Since I'm not a mod. I can't determine if your picks were made before the first game on the 20th, and no I don't want to be a mod either!)

#2. Only for the National Champship Game must there be a prediction of the final score. In case, we have a tie on wins and losses the person picking the closest final score will be declared the champion.

#3. Make sure that your pick to win that bowl game is declared in bold. That way we will know who you are picking to win.

#4. After each game I will post standings on how all participants are doing.

#5. Also for fun this year, since there seems to be such a debate on who is the best conference your picks will represent the conference you expect to have the best bowl record. At the end of the bowls games we can then discuss the results of that as well.

Here are the bowl games beginning with the first one to be played. Game time and network on which the game will be seen.

Question:
Are we basing our picks strictly win loss, or going by the vegas line as well. Winner + point spread?

Is that 12AM Eastern time? A mod like Paully could lock it at that time. Or 12AM his time or something.

Paully - great question we are basing our picks strictly on win/loss no point spread, although I have seriously considered doing the point spread thing.

Well I didn't want to ask a mod to be responsible for that, however, if Paully will volunteer that would be great. I didn't see a 12 AM start time on those, but if there is, it would be a noon start.

it might make the bowls a bit more interesting, but more involvement for you managing our "bowl poll"

Well we could do two different pick-em bowl games use one for a straight up win and the other for the point spread. what do you think about that?

Have been checking on line and have found no point spreads for the games as of yet.

I am not a mod, sorry.

Just make the deadline 12:00am EST. I would think that most picks will be posted before then anyway.
