Glorifying Tattoos?

Postby MacUser » December 4th, 2007, 4:44 am

Is it just me or does it look like my former favorite channel, TLC has turned into the BODYART CHALLENGE. Miami Ink, Hollywood Inc, and now.. LONDON Ink.

Gheez. I hope they can see my Nelsons ratings. Turned OFF.

I've got nothing wrong with someone deciding to get a tattoo.. but being a graphics guy I create hundreds upon hundreds of intricate designs and to have one of those plastered to my living body for the rest of my life.. gives me the willies. My tastes CHANGE over time. If you know how many fonts and designs go in and out of style.. in just a few years etc. I guess I just have a different perspective on things.

Absolutely crazy imho...

I love Miami Ink. Havent watched much of Hollywood ink. I wish TLC was in Hi-Def here.

I got inked about 10 years ago, and never once regretted it. My niece will be designing my next one.

Yeah, I think those shows are about as interesting as watching paint dry. Apparently some folks like 'em though, because they now have Miami, LA, and London Ink.

Just think, in about 40 years or so all those pretty young girls who are getting tattoos are going to be old and wrinkled. Now imagine those same girls (old women) and their tats. Absolutely terrible image! :sb_ugh:
