Just had a question about the name Rambo...

Postby turbotim » December 7th, 2007, 5:07 am

I was looking at Rambo preacher's name.

Rambo...

I don't know anyone with that name. Do people still name their children Rambo? Where did that name come from? What origin?

When I hear the name Rambo, I think of the Rambo off the movies. It's like if you were to look at what Rambo's name means, it would say something like, "One bad dude," or "Knows how to whip butt".

Just was wondering about the name.

yup - when I go to various paintball fields, some still call me snake. or make comments like "I thought you were dead" (referring to that in the movie). it's all fun.

I was talking about the name Rambo, not necessarily how you got the name. :D

That was his last name wasn't it? John Rambo!!! Where does it come from? You know Greek, Croatian, or somewhere. Or is it just made up for the movie?

Isn't there a Christian singer named Dottie Rambo? I always assumed it was an Italian name.
