Have you seen the COGOP General Assembly promo video on YouTube?

(Just past halfway through the clip there's a group dancing; the girl in the green t-shirt and overalls is, Stephanie Langley, my daughter-in-law!)

I still can't believe Randy Howard is the G.O. I still see that guy from youth camp who had girls following him everywhere wanting him to sign their tennis shoes. My, how far he has come. I even work with a college room mate of his, Edward Freytag. He was one of my band directors at Cleveland High School. He is now the director at Lavergne High School. I was on his visual staff for the past two years.

He is amazed at the fact that "Randy" is the general overseer. He still pictures someone like M.A. Tomlinson in that position. I guess he is like me...he still sees Randy as a young guy. Maybe it's our denial of growing old that keeps us looking at him in no other way BUT that.

So you guys ARE coming back to my backyard for the G.A. I look forward to seeing you all again.

I was going to ask when he was appointed as G.O. was it last assembly? Why was Fred Fisher taken out? Do they have a time limit now?

Brother Fisher wasn't removed or taken out. he (voluntarily) retired. In fact, as I understand, he wanted to retire the previous GA (or two?), but was "talked into" remaining through the previous GA. but I really have no other details, only that this is what happened.
