The Heisman

Postby Pastor Gary » December 8th, 2007, 4:02 pm

Of course I was pulling for Colt Brennan, the hometown favorite, but I applaud 2007 Heisman Trophy Award winner Tim Tebow. It is great to see a young man of such character and Christian witness represent his family and his Lord so honorably.
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

To those west of the Mississippi the contest was wide open. Any 4 of them could have won.
Let the wild rumpus start!

Just shows that those of us east of the Mississippi know our sports better... :P j/k

I'm actually not a big sports fan anymore... I watch a few UGA games each year and the Super Bowl and that's pretty much it.

Paully, I'm east of the Mississippi and in reality I thought only 3 of them had a chance. I didn't think Daniels had a chance after the Big-12 Championship Game.

I will have to admit after hearing the story of Tebow I was hoping he would win. It brought tears to my eyes.

Rob, are you talking about the fact that he(Tebow) was almost aborted? Kind of makes you wonder how many other babies that have been murdered could have also been walking across a stage recieving an award or some how making a difference in the word! Sad!!!!

Yes, that is what I was having reference to.
