As Much As We Disagree...

Postby MOREGODlessme » December 9th, 2007, 10:00 am

I still want to take this time to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry CHRISTmas. As hard as the world tries to downplay the meaning of this time of year, it is still the time we celebrate the birth of JESUS CHRIST.
"Happy Holidays" is a joke. I work in sales and I don't see that many "Happy" people this time of year. More like selfish.
THEY shoud say, "Greedy Holidays" instead.

If the true Christmas spirit got a hold of people, how much happier the holidays would be.

So, Merry Christmas to all of you on J2!

Well, Merry Christmas to you as well!

I make it a point at stores when I am told "Happy Holidays" to say, "And a Merry Christmas to you."

is it getting to be "too much", like 911 conspiracies, or heretical Pentecostals yet? :)

Merry Christmas to you and all of the family!
I agree with you that the stores have made a joke of it....however,....the merchants are very happy about the situation.
A lot of decorations and time that the employees had to spend putting it all up.....No need anymore....people will buy just as much as ever and the merchants have increased the bottom line with not having the expense of the decorations .....what a plan.

But again.....Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Merry Christmas to you all, too.

I went to Universal Studios this weekend for its Christmas festivities, which included a stage show of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and the Macys' Parade. I was pleasantly surprised to hear a lot of "Merry Christmas"es from the parade and even religious carols on the loudspeakers.

In the "Grinch" show, the whole theme is about missing the "true" meaning of Christmas, which we all know what that is. Although they don't spell it out (like they do at Dollywood), I was happy the message of the show was about not getting distracted with decorations and gifts.
"...The life you see me living is not 'mine,' but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that."- Galatians 19:20 (The Message)
